  • BIOTIME – OFFICE 365 MIGRATION, DISASTER RECOVERY, DESKTOP SUPPORT

    BioTime, a biotechnology company headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, is focused on biomedical research and product development in regenerative medicine.  Globalize has been providing IT services to BioTime since 2010.  We helped BioTime migrate from their previous hosted Exchange provider to Office 365.  Globalize managed the entire process from data migration from the old system to reconfiguring Outlook for the end users.  Cutover occurred during a weekend and no mail was lost during the transition.  By switching to Office 365, BioTime benefited from a large cost savings and improved email reliability.  BioTime was also able to take advantage of the expanded functionality of Office 365 such as flexible Office Suite licensing and SharePoint collaborative tool.

  • ASTERIAS – OFFICE BUILD FOR A STARTUP

    Asterias, a Bay Area biotechnology company focused on the emerging field of regenerative medicine brought Globalize in to build out their IT infrastructure from the ground up as they were starting this new company.  We worked closely with them to understand their requirements and design an IT solution to meet their needs as a nascent startup with limited capital.  We helped them select a powerful laptop model and built images to standardize deployment for new employees.

  • IMERGY – OFFICE 365 MIGRATION

    Established in 2005 and headquartered in Silicon Valley, Imergy’s mission is to deliver advanced technology that meets today’s growing demand for economical, reliable and safe high-performance energy storage solutions for stationary applications.  Imergy was running a single, aging Exchange server for their mail system which was out of date and not fault tolerant.  Instead of taking on the cost and effort of upgrading the hardware and re-architecting their email system for high availability, Imergy chose to migrate to Office 365.  Globalize provided the planning and migration services.
