line of defense. Globalize specializes in firewall
design and configuration. We have worked with many
vendors including: Checkpoint, Microsoft, Cisco, Linksys,
and SonicWall.
Anti-virus - Anti-virus can save your systems
from ruin, but it must be kept up-to-date. We have
extensive experience installing and configuring anti-virus
software from vendors such as Symantec (Norton) and
McAfee. Globalize will make sure that your anti-virus
software is configured to update itself properly.
Policies and procedures - Having good policies
in place can prevent misuse and misunderstandings.
Education - Educating your employees about
possible threats is the most effective way to avoid
problems like viruses in attachments and "social
engineering."
Spyware - "Spyware covertly gathers user
information through the user's internet connection
without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising

enough, Spyware can greatly degrade performance on

software such as Ad-Aware, SpyBot, or Microsoft's
